The University is creating a campus hub in Prince Albert (PA) which will provide a strong university presence at the gateway to northern Saskatchewan by consolidating existing programs and integrating any new programs into a centralized learning and community-based scholarship centre.

The Northern Gateway Hub (PA campus) will:

  • Enhance the university’s ability to provide high-quality post-secondary education and development opportunities to northern and Indigenous communities
  • Serve as an anchor in the university’s emerging Northern Strategy

The purchase and renovation of a multi-tenant commercial office building was approved in December 2017. The approved renovation scope included accommodation of the existing programs for the Colleges of Nursing, Medicine, Arts and Science, along with first year offerings in Kinesiology, Agriculture and Bioresources, and Nutrition, which are currently found in in three separate locations in Prince Albert. Renovations are in the design phase.
