Ensuring USask is well-positioned nationally and supporting strategic planning processes to innovate and facilitate academic and research excellence.
Role
The Office of Institutional Planning and Assessment supports the university with planning, resource allocation and assessment activities. The team focuses directly on the following key areas and provides the Budget Committee, USask's governing bodies and university senior leaders the information required for decision-making:
- Institutional planning: conducting environmental scans, supporting institutional goals and plans, developing planning frameworks/critical design elements and support for decision-making.
- Resource allocation: identifying financial resources available to the institution and supporting how these are distributed within the university.
- Assessment and analytics: assessing institutional performance against goals and plans, against comparators and benchmarks, and unit performance against goals and priorities.
Leadership
The Office of Institutional Planning and Assessment reports to the provost and vice-president academic.
