Ensuring USask is well-positioned nationally and supporting strategic planning processes to innovate and facilitate academic and research excellence.
Under the leadership of the associate provost of institutional planning and assessment, the office supports the university with planning, resource allocation, and assessment activities. The team focuses directly on the following key areas and provides the Provost's Advisory Committee, USask's governing bodies and university senior leaders the information required for decision-making:
- Institutional planning: conducting environmental scans, supporting institutional goals and plans, developing planning frameworks/critical design elements and support for decision-making.
- Resource allocation: identifying financial resources available to the institution and supporting how these are distributed within the university.
- Assessment and analytics: assessing institutional performance against goals and plans, against comparators and benchmarks, and unit performance against goals and priorities.
The associate provost of institutional planning and assessment reports to the provost and vice-president academic.
