As we prepare to launch the search for our next Provost and Vice-President Academic, I invite you to share your perspectives on the qualities and leadership attributes of an ideal candidate for this important role. All responses will remain confidential and will be aggregated by Odgers, our executive search partner.

The Provost plays a critical role in advancing academic strategy, aligning resources and academic units, and providing strong people and institutional leadership. As a key member of the executive team, the Provost is expected to mentor leaders, support major institutional initiatives, engage with external partners and communicate transparently and effectively.

Search committee

The committee that oversees the search process is prescribed by the Search and Review for Senior Administrators Policy. The committee plays an integral role in ensuring the process follows the principles outlined in the Policy, reviewing the position profile, and interviewing viable candidates for the position.
